Position: Disaster Restoration Crew Leader

ServiceMaster of Muskoka and Parry Sound : “Setting The Standard” in Disaster Restoration due to water, wind, smoke and fire damage.  We restore our clients properties, and their “Peace of Mind”, when they are experiencing a devastating loss to their home/cottage/building. Utilizing our core values: Good Attitude, Team Work, Compassion, Professionalism and Integrity
Education: Completion of High School
Credentials: Valid Driver’s License, Construction Safety Training Systems, First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS.
Experience: 1 - 2 years
Language: English

Type of Construction:

Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional.  Also Disaster Restoration related cleaning.
Location: Bracebridge, Travel to all Parry Sound / Muskoka
Essential Skills: Reading text, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, continuous learning, job task planning and organizing.
Specific Skills: Supervise and assist crew in house building and demolition, ie/ erecting walls, roofs and other building related tasks. Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.  
Other Skills: Favorable candidates will have prior experience in Disaster Restoration, including IICRC certification, Mold/Asbestos trained, WHMIS/First Aid/Fall Arrest trained.
Security & Safety: Must be bondable (security check required). Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record.
Tools & Equipment: Must provide own set of “basic” tools.  All other tools supplied.  Must have steel toed safety boots and work gloves.  All other safety apparel provided.

Work Site & Physical Conditions: 

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, with tight deadlines. Must be able to handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), and have good manual dexterity. Common sites: Outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, dangerous, dusty.
Transportation: Crew vehicles supplied for work related travel.
